Dunn’s River Falls is one of the top 10 must-visit places in Jamaica and one of Jamaica’s national treasures. The falls are about 180 feet (55 m) high and 600 feet (180 m) long and the area is known for its beautiful tropical foliage, shopping, dining, beaches, water park area for the kids, and an array of other activities. It is the perfect environment for fun and relaxation for the entire family.
Climbing the waterfalls is a popular tourist activity and is often, but not exclusively, performed with the help of tour guides with the guests holding each other’s hands like a human daisy chain. It takes about 1-1.5 hours to climb with short breaks for photographs & video recordings taken by the guides. There are also stairs, alongside the falls, so that persons who do not want to get wet or are unable to manage the rocky climb are still able to observe the falls, watch the climbers and take photos of the falls.
