We will kick start this tour by heading over to the Appleton Rum Estate where we will learn about how the famous Jamaican rum is made. Discover the rum making process at the Appleton Estate and enjoy samples along the way, including cane juice and molasses. At the end of the tour, you will be served lunch where you will get to enjoy a Jamaican-styled prepared meal with our herbs and spices. The meal options are listed on the “More Information” tab.
After which, we will make our way to YS Falls which is one of Jamaica’s finest natural attractions! It is a nature-based attraction offering the opportunity to experience the beauty of the waterfalls surrounded by lush gardens and magnificent trees. There are seven waterfalls, several which cascade into natural pools. Some areas are fairly rocky and river shoes are recommended. A natural pool is also on property, fed by underground and above ground springs, which is more suitable for children and others unable to swim.
Finally, what better way to end the day than with a cocktail or cold Red Strip Beer in hand as you watch the sunset from a bar out in the ocean? A short ride to the famous Pelican Bar will give you this experience. You will remain dry, as you travel by boat to the restaurant built in the middle of the waters. You may choose to have a meal, have a drink or snorkel around the property if you wish, before your return travel to land.
